California Women’s Technical Assistance & Training Project

Comprehensive services that address women-specific issues

Project Details

WOMEN come in all shapes, sizes and colors and from a variety of backgrounds, situations and circumstances.  Unfortunately, many may face unexpected, overwhelming odds, and more often than not, children are caught in the middle.

The California Women’s Technical Assistance (TA) & Training Project provides cost-free consulting services and training to programs and organizations seeking to support, expand and enhance substance abuse treatment outcomes for women, their children, families and communities.

Research shows that alcohol and other drug treatment outcomes for women significantly improve when programs seek to provide holistic, wraparound and comprehensive services that address women-specific issues in a relational framework that makes sense for families.  (CSAT)
